Terms of service
Last updated: September 2, 2026
These Terms of Service govern access to and use of the Uplift online store, including purchases of eBooks and other digital content. By accessing the store or completing a purchase, you agree to these Terms and the policies incorporated into them.
-
Our Store
Uplift provides faith-based eBooks, devotional materials, guides, and other electronically delivered content. Unless expressly stated otherwise on a product page, we do not sell or ship physical merchandise.
-
Eligibility and Account Information
You must be legally capable of entering into a binding agreement in your jurisdiction or use the store with the involvement and permission of a parent or legal guardian. You agree to provide current, complete, and accurate order and billing information.
-
Product Information
We make reasonable efforts to present product titles, descriptions, previews, prices, file formats, and images accurately. We may correct errors, update information, change pricing, or discontinue a product at any time. Customers are responsible for reviewing the product page before checkout.
-
Orders
Submitting an order does not require us to accept or fulfill a transaction where there is a payment failure, suspected fraud, unauthorized activity, duplicate transaction, technical error, unlawful use, obvious pricing error, or another legitimate operational or security concern.
If we cancel a paid order without providing the purchased content, the applicable payment will be refunded.
-
Prices, Taxes, and Payment
Prices are displayed before checkout and may be shown in the currency selected for the applicable market. Taxes may be calculated where required. Payments are processed through Shopify and supported payment providers. You authorize the applicable provider to charge the payment method submitted for the order.
-
Digital Delivery
Digital products are made available electronically after successful payment and order processing. Delivery may occur through email, a download link, the order confirmation page, or a customer account. Digital-only purchases do not include physical shipping or a carrier tracking number.
-
Refunds
Refund eligibility is governed by our Refund Policy and any consumer right that cannot legally be excluded.
-
License to Purchased Content
A purchase grants a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable personal-use license unless a different license is expressly stated on the product page. Ownership of the content and its intellectual property is not transferred to the customer.
-
Intellectual Property
The store and its original content, including publications, written materials, cover designs, graphics, logos, branding, photographs, and layouts, are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
Without prior written permission, you may not reproduce, resell, redistribute, sublicense, publish, commercially exploit, remove attribution from, or falsely claim ownership of protected Uplift content.
-
Prohibited Uses
You may not use the store or its content to:
• Violate any applicable law or third-party right;
• Commit fraud or submit unauthorized transactions;
• Interfere with website security, functionality, or availability;
• Attempt unauthorized access to systems, accounts, or data;
• Introduce malware, harmful code, scraping tools, or disruptive automation;
• Misuse, resell, or redistribute purchased digital content;
• Collect information about other users without authorization; or
• Use the store for misleading, abusive, or unlawful activity.
-
Third-Party Services and Links
Portions of the store depend on Shopify and other independent payment, analytics, marketing, hosting, and technology providers. We are not responsible for the content, availability, or independent practices of third-party websites or services outside our reasonable control.
-
Website Availability
We aim to maintain reliable access but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. Access may be delayed, suspended, or limited by maintenance, security measures, platform interruptions, internet failures, events beyond our reasonable control, or changes to the store.
-
Educational Disclaimer
Our publications are provided for general educational, devotional, inspirational, and informational purposes. They are not individualized legal, medical, mental health, financial, or other professional advice and are not a substitute for appropriate professional or pastoral assistance.
-
Disclaimer of Warranties
To the extent permitted by law, the store and digital products are provided on an “as available” basis. We do not guarantee that every product will meet every customer’s subjective expectations or that website access will always be uninterrupted. Nothing in these Terms excludes a warranty or right that cannot legally be excluded.
-
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Uplift will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, punitive, or consequential losses arising solely from the use of, or inability to access, the store or a digital product. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited or excluded.
-
Termination or Restriction
We may restrict or terminate access to the store where a user violates these Terms, infringes intellectual property, engages in fraud or abuse, threatens security, or uses the services unlawfully.
-
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by applicable United States federal law and the laws of the State of Louisiana, without limiting mandatory consumer protections that may apply under the laws of a customer’s place of residence.
-
Severability
If a provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in effect to the extent permitted by law.
-
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms to reflect changes in the store, products, technology, or legal obligations. The current version will be published on this page.
